Job Title: Mechanical/Electrical Fitter

This role sits within our Distributed Generation Systems (DGS) team delivering power generation and electrical systems for the UKs armed forces.

As a Mechanical/Electrical Fitter youll play a key part in delivering essential maintenance and repair services across our diesel-powered generation systems. Youll benefit from being part of a supportive team hands-on training and opportunities to broaden your skill set across electrical and mechanical disciplines.

What You Will Be Doing

With this attractive opportunity you will get a chance to:

• Disassemble inspect clean test and reassemble mechanical and electrical assemblies to strict standards
• Work with diesel power generation and electrical distribution systems in support of military contracts
• Collaborate with team leads to ensure quality delivery and cost expectations are met
• Maintain high standards of safety documentation and shop floor efficiency

To be successful in this role you will need to:

• Have completed a recognised mechanical or electrical apprenticeship (or equivalent experience)
• Bring experience working on diesel engines or electrical systems in a service or MRO environment
• Be comfortable working independently and as part of a close-knit goal-focused team
• Show good communication and documentation skills in a regulated environment
• Demonstrate a hands-on proactive approach with strong attention to detail
