Job Summary:
The College of Extended and Global Education (PACE) is seeking a highly organized dependable and motivated student assistant to support staff and management. This position requires strong verbal and written communication skills attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. The Student Assistant will have frequent interaction with students staff and the public while providing administrative and program support.
Responsibilities:
Under direct supervision and under the lead work direction of the PACE staff the Student Assistant will:
- Serve as the first point of contact by answering the PACE main phone line responding to student inquiries and directing communications to the appropriate staff or department.
- Monitor general email inboxes (Outlook) including responding to inquiries and forwarding messages to appropriate staff.
- Provide administrative support to staff on various projects and initiatives.
- Perform clerical tasks including scanning duplicating and faxing documents.
- Prepare certificates of completion grade mailers and outgoing mail.
- Update and maintain student and prospect information in the CRM database.
- Maintain data and files (create update organize and archive as needed).
- Assist with marketing activities and program events.
- Coordinate the distribution of graduation and survey gifts.
- Support call and email campaigns to engage students and prospects
- Deliver materials to campus departments and assist with general errands.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- The student assistant must be able to work well with others as well as independently be dependable and punctual self-motivated and a quick learner.
- The student assistant must have proficient computer skills. Familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Outlook and Word) is a must. Experience using Salesforce is a plus.
Compensation and Benefits:
Student Employment Anticipated Hiring Range: $16.50 per hour.
The compensation offered will consider internal equity and experience among other factors.
Position Information:
Work status: Part-Time Temporary Seasonal
Academic year available hours: Monday through Friday (8:00 am 5:00 pm).
Summer available hours: Monday through Thursday (7:00 am - 5:30 pm).

Background Check
Satisfactory completion of a background check (including a criminal records check) may be required for student employment purposes. CSU will make a conditional offer of employment which may be rescinded if the background check reveals disqualifying information and/or it is discovered that the candidate knowingly withheld or falsified information. Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check when required may affect the continued employment of a current CSU employee who was conditionally offered the position.
