Major Tasks and Responsibilities
AI Solution Development & Integration
- Engineer and deploy AI and machine learning models into production environments
- Design and implement comprehensive MLOps and AIOps pipelines for model lifecycle management
- Create monitoring systems to detect model drift and implement automated retraining mechanisms
Infrastructure & Architecture
- Architect scalable AI solutions leveraging cloud and edge computing technologies
- Develop and maintain microservice architectures supporting AI deployments
- Implement data pipelines to support training and inference needs across diverse data types
Collaboration & Innovation
- Partner with data scientists and Generative AI Engineers to optimize model performance and deployment efficiency
- Work cross-functionally with business stakeholders to align AI solutions with business needs
- Evaluate and incorporate emerging AI technologies to maintain competitive advantage
Business Impact
- Drive business value by successfully integrating AI capabilities into Covestros core processes
- Accelerate digital transformation through automated intelligent solutions that enhance efficiency and innovation
- Enable data-driven decision making by making AI accessible and reliable for business users
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or related technical field with 7 years experience; OR Masters degree in in Computer Science Software Engineering or related technical field with 5 years experience; OR PhD with 3 years experience
- 3 years of experience in AI/ML engineering with demonstrated success in production AI systems
- Experience with modern AI frameworks
Knowledge and Skills
- Strong expertise in containerization and cloud platforms
- Proficiency with data processing technologies) and database systems
- Programming expertise in Python and familiarity with other languages
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Excellent communication skills with ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
- Adaptability to work in a fast-paced environment with evolving technologies and requirements
- Willingness to travel occasionally for collaboration purposes
