Outpatient clinical responsibilities focused on the following
-Developing treatment plans for new diagnosis in hematology oncology patients
-Chemotherapy oversight
-Supervising nurse practitioner on follow up patients
-Leading tumor board
Cancer center is accredited by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer and is designated as a Community Cancer Program and includes a healing garden 8 infusion chairs 2 private infusion areas patient image renewal areas and community outreach spaces
Affiliation with and support provided by the ECU Health Cancer Center located in nearby Greenville NC with access to multidisciplinary oncology teams for diagnosing late stage cancers including support from disease focused medical oncologists radiation oncologists and surgical oncologists
Close collaboration with the ECU Health Multispecialty Clinic which offers a full range of healthcare services which include primary & preventive care immediate care specialty care Lab X-ray Digital radiology and bone densitometry IAC accredited ECHO lab and AASM accredited sleep lab
