Job Description
Job Title: CAD Designer / Drafter
Location: Fully Remote (Working USA Hours)
Employment Type: Full-Time
About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CAD Designer / Drafter to support our design and engineering teams by creating precise technical drawings and models. The ideal candidate will work remotely while aligning with USA business hours to ensure effective collaboration with project teams and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Create detailed CAD drawings plans and technical models based on project requirements and specifications
Modify and revise drawings as required by engineers architects or project managers
Prepare construction fabrication or manufacturing drawings with accuracy and clarity
Ensure drawings comply with relevant industry standards and company guidelines
Collaborate with engineering design and project teams to gather information and resolve design challenges
Maintain organized drawing files and documentation for easy access and revision control
Support design development layout planning and conceptual drafting as needed
Review and interpret sketches notes and other input materials to produce comprehensive drawings
Assist with preparing documentation packages for client submission permit applications or manufacturing
Perform other drafting or design-related tasks as required
Requirements:
Associates degree Diploma or Certification in CAD Design Drafting Engineering Technology or a related field
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a CAD Designer / Drafter in a professional environment
Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD SolidWorks Revit or similar
Strong understanding of drafting standards dimensioning and tolerancing
Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy in work
Ability to interpret engineering architectural or manufacturing drawings and specifications
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Good written and verbal communication skills in English
Must be available to work full-time USA business hours
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the construction manufacturing or engineering design industries
Knowledge of 3D modelling and rendering techniques
Familiarity with BIM software (Revit Navisworks) for multidisciplinary coordination
