Description
Aerometals is looking to add the following position:
Electronics Project Engineer
Pay range: $85000 - $115000 salary
Schedule: Monday - Thursday 7:00am - 4:30pm & Friday 7:00am - 12:00pm
The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate the ability to:
- Review military commercial and aerospace and defense contracts.
- Coordinate with shop leads to determine manufacturing plans.
- Coordinate with Electronics Lab for avionic repairs.
- Have a clear understanding of repair capabilities research capable vendors and obtain quotes for the repairs.
- Review drawings engineering document packages part markings packaging and government / commercial specifications.
- Coordinate resources adjust project priorities create schedules and provide job statuses.
- Create in-depth job workups with detailed operation instructions for parts or assemblies.
- Use ERP software to integrate drawings engineering data requirements and contract exceptions into component trees indentured Bills of Materials and part travelers.
- Work with purchasing / vendors as needed to determine routing requirements for special processes.
- Monitor monthly revenue targets / goals.
- Support Project Planners with technical issues as needed.
Qualification Requirements:
Education: Mechanical Manufacturing or Electronic Engineering degree or equivalent.
Skills:
- Detail oriented
- Knowledgeable in manufacturing processes
- Excellent organizational and project management abilities
- Previous ERP / MRP knowledge - JobBOSS is a plus
Experience: 2 years in Project Management / Engineering field with electronics experience.
Training: On the job training.

Aerometals Inc. of El Dorado Hills California is a veteran of commercial and military aerospace manufacturing founded in 1984. We offer a full range of production services including CNC machining and turning sheet metal fabrication welding assembly autoclave and precision assembly. Aerometals has significant experience manufacturing critical application militarized components to OEM engineering data for use on many fixed wing aircraft and helicopters. Customers include the US Military Boeing Lockheed Sikorsky etc.
