We are seeking applications for an Administration Assistant to join our emergency department on a casual basis.
You will be responsible for providing high-level administration support to the ED team. Hours will range each week with occasional nightshift cover required when needed. To be considered for this role you must be available to cover nightshifts.
The Position
Capacity to understand and willingness to support and promote the Mission and Values of St John of God Health Care.
Provide sensitive management of the reception area dealing with patients and other stakeholders who inquire about the service and welcoming patients who come for appointments.
Manage the telephone lines and sensitively handle telephone calls from patients.
Co-operates in data collection of hospital-wide Quality Activity projects and Clinical Indicators.
Process patient registration forms
Enter patient data into IBA for all admissions
Liaise with medical practises to ensure accuracy of the admission details
Successful applicants must have excellent verbal & written communication skills and strong computer literacy. Experience working with Health Funds and Patient Management Systems will be highly desirable.

We can offer you
Hourly rate: $37.22 to $38.27 (inclusive of casual loading) plus 12 % Superannuation
Casual position must be available for cover nightshifts
