JOB DESCRIPTION- Hotel Sales Manager
Summary/Objective
Develop action plans and set objectives for increased revenue and maximum profit for hotel management. Implement sales and marketing strategies necessary for attracting clients to patronize a hotel. Maintain a clear understanding of hotel policies and ensure compliance Carry out research and analysis to identify new markets and business opportunities.
Essential Functions
1. Maintain a complete knowledge of all the services a hotel provides so as to conduct successful sales.
2. Explain and notify clients of recent upgrades and available options for hotel services
3. Oversee the management of client accounts
4. Seek out business with large organizations such as churches sports clubs or corporate firms to convince them to patronize their hotel
5. Handling complaints and oversee the service recovery procedures
6. Closely monitor the hotels business reports on a daily weekly basis and take decisions accordingly Delphi Saleforce STS travel click
7. Prepare a weekly and monthly sales reporting
8. Respond to QA / BSA sales requirements to ensure continual improvement is achieved and property passes per brand standards Audit
9. Responsible for safeguarding the quality of operations both (internal & external audits)
10. Insure the safety of our guests property assets; never open door for guests who forgot their key (redirect them back to the front desk)

Work Environment
This job operates in a hotel / public environment.
This role routinely uses standard equipment fire panel calculator scanner chip reader (credit card machine) computer systems and micros point of sale system laptop and fire extinguisher.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
The employee is frequently required to stand; walk uses hands or feel and reach with hands and arms able to lift 20 lbs.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full time salary position with long hours and occasional weekend work.
Travel
Some travel needed for outside sales calls and brand certification.
Required Education and Experience
Minimum two year college degree or Hospitality Certification plus 3 years previous sales manager experience in the hotel industry
