YOUTH ROOM / NURSERY ASSOCIATE
Altoona Campus is currently seeking positive energetic individuals to work in the Youth Room located in our main facility. Children from 6 weeks to 9 years of age come to the Youth Room to play while parents use the facilities.
Job responsibilities for this position include: greeting members and their children as they arrive and depart from the site; recording when children are dropped off and leave with their parents using Antaris software; monitoring the safety of all infants and children; interacting with all children utilizing positive reinforcement techniques.
Assisting in preparation of activity/art materials for planned and impromptu activities. Associates will actively participate in ALL activities with the children i.e. playing games coloring and supervising indoor/outdoor active play. Maintain a clean orderly environment and attend all necessary staff meetings as directed.
Job competencies include: Attentive to the needs of the children including age-appropriate toys snacks and allergies; communicates ideas verbally to children staff parents and members; readiness to respond positively to procedures and instructions; is courteous to others and promotes mutual respect.
Hours of Operation are:
- Monday Friday 8:30 am to11:30AM
- Monday Thursday 4 pm to 6:30 pm
- Saturday 8 am to 10:30 am
*Prefer applicants to be available for both morning and afternoon shifts but will consider applicants available for only AM or PM shifts. All applicants must be available for a rotating Saturday shift.
