Job Description

Job Title: Salesforce Data Migration
Type:
Full-time Independent Contractor
Location: Remote (U.S. work hours)


Overview

We are seeking a Data Cleaning Specialist to play a critical role in enhancing the accuracy completeness and reliability of our Salesforce data. This role will focus on data migration preparation ongoing data hygiene and record standardization to ensure Salesforce remains a trusted source of truth for our sales and operations teams.

The ideal candidate will bring strong knowledge of Salesforce data structures experience with large-scale data cleanup/migration and expertise in SQL SOQL and Excel/Google Sheets.


Key Responsibilities

  • Export data from in-house CRM/CSVs for migration into Salesforce.

  • Prepare data from legacy systems for Salesforce import.

  • Clean and maintain Salesforce data post-import including:

    • Correcting contract statuses (draft activated with automation control).

    • Identifying reviewing and merging duplicate records.

    • Adding and enriching address data and other fields (48k accounts).

  • Standardize key data fields (phone numbers picklists numeric fields etc.).

  • Support data migration workflows ensuring correct field mapping and seamless integration.

  • Ensure Salesforce data quality through deduplication rules matching rules and reporting validation.

  • Collaborate with operations and sales teams to improve data hygiene processes.


Required Skills & Expertise

Salesforce Knowledge

  • Familiarity with Salesforce data structures (Admin certification strongly preferred).

  • Understanding of Salesforce objects: Quotes Accounts Contacts Custom Objects Account Hierarchy Master-Detail & Lookup relationships.

  • Proficiency with Salesforce Data Loader (insert update delete records).

  • Proficiency with Salesforce Inspector Reloaded Tool (SOQL exports data updates).

  • Strong Salesforce reporting experience including:

    • Report type limitations.

    • Cross filters.

    • Joined reports (preferred).

Data Management & Tools

  • SQL / SOQL proficiency: able to write and understand queries joins and subqueries (AI assistance acceptable).

  • Excel / Google Sheets mastery including:

    • VLOOKUP fuzzy matching sorting filtering duplicate removal.

  • Data migration experience: proven ability to clean transform and map fields for Salesforce imports.

Additional Experience (Preferred)

  • Familiarity with Salesforce duplicate rules and matching rules.

  • Prior use of ZoomInfo to enrich Salesforce data (strongly preferred).

  • Proactive problem solver who can work independently.

  • Strong communicator with cross-team collaboration skills.

  • Comfortable working with large data sets (50k records) in Salesforce.
