Job Description
Supervisor - Echocardiology at our Mission Hospital in Mission Viejo CA. Positions available are full-time and will work 8-hour day shift.
Our Mission Hospital is a Magnet designated hospital providing a full range of specialty health care services.
Supervises and coordinates daily operations of the Cardiology Department in conjunction with the Manager of Cardiovascular Services/Nurse Manager in order to ensure efficient operations and competent skill levels. Is responsible for QI program development implementation and follow-up. Is responsible for recruitment and orientation of new employees as well as maintaining employee files work schedules annual reviews and competency testing. Is a source of technical expertise in equipment needs. Is responsible for all duties of a registered Echocardiographer as outlined in the Echocardiographer job description.

Required Qualifications:
Coursework/Training Completion of an AMA accredited Echocardiogram program (minimum of one year in length)
Upon hire: National Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography Or
Upon hire: National Certification from Cardiovascular Credentialing International Or
Upon hire: National Certification from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
2 years Recent full time experience in Echocardiography.
1 year Experience in acute care hospital setting
Preferred Qualifications:
Associates Degree In a related health care field Or Credentials with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or Cardiovascular Credentialing International.
Upon hire: Membership in a professional organization such as the Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers the Society of Vascular Technologists or the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine or the American Society of Echocardiography
Recent supervisor or management experience
