As part of Chevron Business Support Center (BASSC) the Tax Department is responsible for tax compliance in United States (US) Europe Middle East and Latin America Indirect taxes and US Direct taxes for Chevron entities. The Tax department supports all Chevron businesses (Upstream Downstream Midstream & Corporate department) audits and projects. These may include but its not limited to acquisitions divestitures new energies portfolios.
Tax Compliance includes proper filing and remittance of tax returns system enhancements & maintenance reporting and proper application of Law and regulations.
Required Qualification/Soft Skills:

Main Activities:
- Manage most complex account reconciliations. Address corrective measures that may also impact other teams. Prepare fluctuation analysis (P&L B/S payments).
- Analysis of accounting data and inventory gains/losses for tax reporting purposes.
- Conduct research for more complicated tax questions and contacts tax authorities for clarification as needed.
- Lead communication with business partners on issue/discrepancies resolutions.
- Review Chevron customers taxability application based on tax law and business to ensure compliance
- Leads coordinates and collaborates on special projects as well as review regulations and procedures
- Tax returns preparation/supports the filing of tax returns
- Tax determination on customers billing
- Understanding of regulations and
- Business an accounting acumen
- Supporting internal and external audits
- ERP/tax applications and databases maintenance
Chevron participates in E-Verify in certain locations as required by law.
