Job Description

The Milieu Supervisor Assistant acts as a backup to the Milieu Supervisor by planning and facilitating client enhancement activities and supports for the day to day lives of the clients. Additionally this position helps to lead the TA team in cohesive and trauma-informed delivery of milieu support to clients.

Schedule:Wednesday - Sunday 2:45pm - 11:15pm

Location:16xBurnside Recovery Center (1616 E. Burnside St. Portland OR 97214)

Compensation:Miniumum annual rate of $51334.30 but could increase depending on candidates experience

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school education or GED required.
  • Minimum of one year of experience working in behavioral health; preferably in a residential treatment program.
  • Must possess a current drivers license pass a DMV background check and be designated an acceptable driver as outlined in Central City Concerns Fleet Safety Policy. Must pass an initial drivers training within 60 days of being an approved driver and continued recertification training.
  • Must meet CCC privileging requirements as required by FTCA.
  • Working knowledge of Trauma-Informed Care.
  • Working knowledge of effects of substance use on individuals and family systems including parenting issues.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen TB test and background check. This includes clearance by the DHS Background Check Unit. t.
  • Have or able to obtain Adult CPR Certification AND Adult First Aid Certification prior to start date.
  • The OAR prohibits A&D program staff from having within the previous 3 years a DUI conviction or diversion a felony conviction or a conviction under the Uniform Controlled Substances Act.
  • Must generally have the ability to walk bend stoop kneel squat twist reach pull and lift heavy objects and climb stairs with reasonable or no accommodation.
  • Will be required to carry an agency cell phone for work use. Cell phone will be provided by Central City Concern.
  • Ability to adhere to Central City Concerns drug-free workplace which encourages a safe healthy and productive work environment and strictly complies with the Drug-Free Work Place Act of 1988. An employee shall not in the workplace unlawfully manufacture distribute dispense possess or use a controlled substance or alcohol.
  • Must adhere to agencys non-discrimination policies.
  • Ability to effectively interact with coworkers clients and children with diverse ethnic and cultural background religious views political affiliations sexual orientation and treat each individual with respect and dignity.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • At the direction of the Milieu Supervisor provide basic supervisory support and coaching on tasks to Treatment Assistants (TA). Conduct real time problem solving to address client needs and behavioral concerns.
  • Provide direct supervisory support to on-call Treatment Assistants which would include any clinical requirements and observance of self-administration of medication.
  • Provide support to the milieu staff by filling in as needed during staffing shortages.
  • Act as Liaison between TAs and clinicians and attend clinical meetings if the Milieu Supervisor is not available.
  • Model healthy conflict resolution and provide support and feedback to TA staff f in utilizing conflict resolution skills with coworkers and clients.
  • Provide observations and feedback on staff performance and training needs to Milieu Supervisor
  • Provide observations and contribute to Leadership planning for expansion and improvement of client activities and experiences.
  • Work closely with case managers and TAs in coordinating transportation for clients and providing such transportation when needed.
  • Work with the team community partners and volunteers to organize and facilitate special events such as client outings holiday celebrations and other activities as identified.
  • Coordinate all aspects of the programs incentives program at the direction of the Milieu Supervisor
  • Attend all mandatory CCC trainings in a timely manner.
  • Adhere to all state and federal privacy regulations including HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 and to CCC policies and agreements regarding confidentiality privacy and security. Support compliance with all privacy and security requirements pursuant to community partners and outside providers patient confidentiality agreements including privacy and security requirements for EMR access. This includes immediately reporting any breach of protected health information or personal identification information of any person receiving CCC services by CCC or an outside provider to the CCC Compliance Department as well as to your supervisor or their designee.

  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to maintain documentation.
  • Knowledge and effective modeling of de-escalation techniques when encountering volatile situations.
  • Ability to effectively interact with partner agencies clients their families and community members. Demonstrate working understanding of professional and personal boundaries in the workplace and model it to staff and clients.
  • Ability to work effectively with peers individual clients and groups.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of community and social service agencies.
  • Ability to work on weekends with some evening hours.
  • Ability to cover all shifts in case of emergency.
