Job Description
This position also provides teaching opportunities to a variety of learners including medical students medical residents and rheumatology fellows and fellows from other specialties on rheumatology elective. The ideal candidate will be as involved as desired with the fellowship program
The position also offers research opportunities including translation clinical and trial-based research. There are also leadership opportunities within the fellowship the division and the department. The position also offers the opportunity for involvement with ACGME both within the division and the hospital system to the right candidate.
Although not required experience would be a plus. The opportunity fosters growth and mentorship and faculty development allows for growth and promotion.
An Academic appointment with the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine is available.
Practice Highlights:
4.5 day (90% clinical) per week work week
Guaranteed base salary with productivity and quality bonus and performance incentives
Large referral base of primary care physicians (200)
X-ray CT MRI ultrasound PET scan full range of lab services and 10-chair infusion suite on site and hospital-based infusion suite
Full range of integrated biopsy services with results emailed directly to you in an expedited manner.
Collaborative relationship with relevant specialists
Fully integrated EMR ( EPIC)
Call 1:7 (second on-call)
