We are seeking for a People Advisor to support our key client groups in our business to directly enhance our employees experience increase their engagement during their time with us and improve delivery of the organizations strategy.

We want you to be an amazing consultant and trusted advisor to the People Consultants and the People Business Partners in Australia providing the highest possible service to business leaders and employees and helping ensure we continue to attract and retain the best talent.

You will challenge the status quo be the face of our business and leave a lasting impression on people. From the initial conversation or handshake you will exude confidence and demonstrate the ability to build rapport across all levels of our business. You are responsible for making people feel supported and understood while also having the confidence to convey your opinion and recommendations to them in line with Aurecons broader business objectives.

What will you do

We know the work we do is vital in assisting Aurecons business are the key things you will do to bring ideas to life.

Supporting the Employee Lifecycle

• Accountable for leading the execution of operational People activities inan employees lifecycle (hire to retire).
• Support the implementation and embedding of regional and global HR strategies plans and initiatives.
• Encourage the effective and ongoing use of talent management and performance management systems.
• Take a lead role in leveraging People support teams to ensure services are delivered by appropriate teams.
• Conduct short training or walkthrough sessions in processes or in the use of Workday as needed.

Recruiting Onboarding and Offboarding

• Support leaders and other overseas staff to ensure the successful recruitment and onboarding of all new and relocated employees to ensure they feel welcomed and valued connected to Aurecon and able to contribute.
• Provide induction support. Facilitate welcome sessions for new starters and ensure smooth transfers occur leveraging the appropriate internal teams. Manage the staff exit process including the administering of exit interviews and analysis of interview data and make recommendations to management for corrective action.

Talent Development

• Support leaders and Team Leaders in annual performance review exercises by being the focal contact of the process.

Evidence-based Decision Support

• Increase the understanding and effectiveness of leaders in delivering desired people outcomes via People policies and/or processes and ensure compliance to company policies and processes and legislative requirements.
• Responsible for the analysis and application of HR information to assist leaders with making evidence-based decisions.
• Proactively contribute to the development implementation and monitoring of policies and procedures based on relevant legislation and contemporary People management practices which provide a consistent approach across the Region and Aurecon.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current industry trends legislation and best practice and provide training and coaching to leaders where required including updates on People policies and programs.

Firstly strong sense of responsibility flexibility and adaptability to varying request. Demonstrate excellent time management and organizational skills. And as part of a new team you will have the opportunity to shape this role and have input into how we evolve it over time to WOW our employees and make an even bigger impact on the world.

You will also need the following capabilities:

Qualifications (Required)

• At least 6 years of experience as an HR practitioner with 3 years in an HR Generalist role
• Knowledge in Asia employment legislation and interpretation
• Shared Service environment experience
• Stakeholder management/communications skills

Good to have

• Australia and NZ employment legislation and interpretation
• Communications skills
• Experience and background in Workday
