Job Description
The Retail Infrastructure Services team within Amazon Worldwide Grocery Store Tech is seeking an experienced Systems Development Engineer to design implement and maintain our secure cloud-based accounts and infrastructure while ensuring a high level of security compliance and operational excellence. You will be working with our partner teams including TPSTPRM Legal and Security. This role requires hands-on engineering to drive our cloud security initiatives and architecture needs as well as tracking any security issues to completion.

Deep understanding of networking TCP/IP HTTP/S DNS
CI/CD pipeline design and implementation
Security-Specific Skills:
Cloud security architecture and implementation
Setting up Identity and Access Management (IAM) profiles and roles
Network security and data flow
Threat modeling and security risk assessment
Incident response and security operations
- 4 years of contributing to automation for new and current system experience
- Experience coding scripting automating in at least one language (e.g. Python C C Java Ruby or PowerShell)
- Experience in networking storage systems operating systems and hands-on systems engineering
- Knowledge of hardware platforms
- Experience with TCP/ICP networking fundamentals and application of IP protocols such as: DNS DHCP NTP SMTP and SNMP
- Experience designing or architecting (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $89200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity sign-on payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
