Job Description
Overview

Johnson County Government is seeking a Mental Health Clinician to join our Childrens Services Program. The Clinician will work as part of a treatment team and provide clinical services to individuals with severe mental illness including mood disorders. The focus is on recovery primarily using the Strengths Based Model of practice. First review of applications will be September 1st.

Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments during intake ongoing services and crisis intervention.
- Develop and implement complex treatment and intervention plans.
- Provide psychotherapy and other therapeutic services to individuals groups and families.
- Complete and submit clinical documentation evaluating and documenting progress.
- Serve as the clinical expert on the treatment team providing consultation and crisis intervention support and serving as the back-up to the Team Leader.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Social Work Counseling Psychology or other Human Services field.
- Kansas Behavioral Sciences licensure at the masters level in the area of focus.
- Valid drivers license with an acceptable driving record.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Kansas Behavioral Sciences license at the clinical level; licensed as a Masters or Clinical Addiction Counselor by the Behavioral Health Sciences Regulatory Board with the State of Kansas experience in a community health setting.
Working Conditions:
- All County employees may be called upon to assist other departments in a declared emergency situation.
