As an Associate Data Engineer you will play a critical role in designing developing and maintaining our data infrastructure and pipelines. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including data scientists analysts and software engineers to ensure that data is accessible reliable and optimized for analytical and operational purposes.
Position Responsibilities:
- Develop data structures and pipelines based on specifications and standards
- Implement ETL/ELT flows using Azure Tech stack
- Perform unit tests and system integration tests
- Support other key functions: user acceptance testing implementation hyper care
- Attend to incidents and change requests
- Write and maintain technical documents
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field
- 1 to 2 years of experience in data engineering or a related role
- Experience with data engineering projects integrating data between multiple data sources & targets using Azure Data Factory Databricks Event Hubs etc.
- Good knowledge of SQL Python Spark and Change Data Capture (CDC) solutions.
- Data Structured design or Data Solutioning
- Experience with big data tools such as ADLS Data Factory Azure Synapse / SQL Azure Databricks etc.
- Experience integrating with vendor application
- Experience working on Agile projects is an advantage.
- Experience on Azure Cloud and/or other Cloud platforms.
- Ability to interpret and translate terminology between technical and business users
- Collaborate with geographically and culturally diverse teams across Asia and globally.
- Self-sufficient and self-motivated
