Role description:
Due to consistent growth in our team and a steadily improving pipeline of work in our core business of civil highways engineering we are seeking expressions of interest for future opportunities with Arcadis fora Civil CAD Drafter with 5-12 years of experience to join our Perth-based team to work on road and highway this role you will apply your technical expertise and design management skills to deliver high-quality engineering solutions. The successful candidate will work closely with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to ensure designs planning and execution meet Main Roads WA standards and project objectives.
Role accountabilities:
- Detailed Design Drafting:
Prepare high-quality civil engineering drawings for highways interchanges and roadworks using AutoCAD Civil 3D and other relevant software. - MRWA Standards Compliance:
Produce and review drawings to ensure alignment with Main Roads WA guidelines specifications and protocols. - Documentation Preparation:
Develop and manage detailed drawing sets including plans profiles cross-sections and detail sheets for tender construction and as-built purposes. - Collaboration:
Work closely with civil engineers designers and project managers to deliver coordinated drawing packages. - Quality Assurance:
Conduct self-checks and peer reviews ensuring accuracy and completeness of deliverables in accordance with project and MRWA requirements. - Mentoring:
Provide technical support and guidance to less-experienced drafters within the team. - BIM & Digital Engineering:
Support the adoption of digital engineering workflows including datamanagement and model collaboration as required by MRWA and project stakeholders.
Qualification & Experience:
512 years civil drafting experience with a strong focus on major highway and road infrastructure projects preferably using Western Australia standards
- Advanced (or approaching advanced) skills in AutoCAD and Civil 3D and/or Microstation platforms.
- Proven experience delivering projects for or in partnership with Main Roads WA including familiarity with their Engineering and Technical Services Panel operations is highly desirable.
- High level of accuracy in producing and checking drawings and models.
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience with BIM 3D modelling and digital delivery methodologies.
- Previous involvement in major infrastructure programs across WA.
