Veterinary Technician
Veterinary Assistant
Full-time
Copper Basin Veterinary Clinic is actively seeking a full-time experienced veterinary technician/assistant. The ideal candidate will be confident working with the veterinarians and technicians comfortable in rooming patients have experience with proper animal handling and restraint have knowledge of x-ray and positioning drawing blood and running bloodwork able to use laboratory equipment understands the importance of client education is a positive and supportive team player and strives to continue to increase their knowledge in the veterinary industry and able to remain calm in a high-stress environment.
Requirements:
- 2 years of experience working as a Veterinary Technician/Assistant
- Knowledge of standard industry tools and equipment
- Understanding of animal behavior and healthcare
- Experience with proper animal handling and restraint
- Passion for working with animals and their owners
- Ability to multi-task efficiently
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Positive and supportive team player
- Able to life 30 lbs unassisted or over 30 lbs with assistance
