About the Role
The Junior Maintenance Technician is responsible for supporting equipment maintenance and facility operations by performing basic duties in repair installation and troubleshooting in accordance with safety and maintenance programs. This role is crucial in supporting the achievement of the sites business goals and objectives while staying aligned with our core values: Great People Going Beyond and Growing.
What Youll Do
Equipment Maintenance and Support
- Assist in keeping CNCs and other mechanical equipment in operating condition.
- Support troubleshooting efforts for equipment malfunctions and collaborate to restore functionality as needed.
Preventive Maintenance
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on support equipment ensuring tasks are completed thoroughly and on time.
Basic Troubleshooting and Technical Support
- Aid in troubleshooting by reading equipment manuals and schematics to support repairs.
Grounds and Exterior Maintenance
- Assist with the upkeep of lawns trees shrubs flowerbeds and lawn sprinklers including monitoring seasonal needs of external walkways and seating areas.
- Assists with care for outdoor and indoor signage and flagpole care as needed.
Facility Cleaning and Janitorial Support
- Assist with janitorial services and perform spot cleaning and restocking as necessary in restrooms and office spaces.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- 1 year of experience conducting machine service rebuild and repairs preferred.
Competencies
- Ability to express ideas share information such as timelines on repairs to maintain production schedules and listen actively to shop personnel explaining equipment failures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Able to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
