Job Description

We are seeking a Sr. Workday HR Systems Analyst with a minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience supporting HR business processes and system configurations to work remotely from anywhere in Texas. This will be a 3-to 6-month assignment supporting a city municipality in Texas. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Workday functionality workflow troubleshooting reporting and HR process alignment while providing guidance and support to HR staff and leadership.

Primary Focus: Business Process Support Configuration Alignment Functional Optimization

Deliverables

* Weekly status reports summarizing activities issues resolved and recommendations

* Documentation of recurring issues and proposed process improvements

* Updated configuration and workflow documentation as applicable

* Training materials or job aids for HR staff (if requested)

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide hands-on support for Workday business processes including hiring onboarding compensation changes and benefits enrollment

* Troubleshoot workflow issues and ensure tasks are routing correctly across departments

* Assist HR staff and managers with navigating new processes and understanding system logic

* Monitor system usage and feedback to identify areas for improvement or reconfiguration

* Conduct gap analyses between legacy processes and Workday functionality

* Document and implement approved changes to Workday configurations

* Ensure alignment between Workday configurations and existing HR workflows

* Support annual processes such as open enrollment merit increases and position budgeting

* Validate data accuracy across modules and support data clean-up efforts

* Create and maintain custom reports and dashboards for HR leadership


Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience in Workday modules related to Benefits Compensation and Core HCM

* Strong understanding of HR operations and business process mapping

* Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
