An integral part of the Financial Services Department the Payroll Specialist will work with the team to accurately process bi-weekly payroll for the organization in ADP. This person will work with the team and outside accounting firm to submit regulatory reports such as audits and 990 returns as well as ad-hoc reports in ADP.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Ensure all bi-weekly payrolls are processed accurately and in compliance with the agencys policies and procedures and local state and federal regulations.
- Ensure staff do not exceed contribution limits for the 401(k) plan.
- Reconcile all quarterly reports to ensure accurate and timely W-2s
- Collaborate with the 401(k)-plan administrator and complete all required reporting testing and auditing for completion of the 5500.
- Complete payroll portion of the 990 (highly compensated section) and other items.
- Provide time & attendance training for new employee orientation and have 1.1 training with new managers.
- Reconcile and process invoices from outside entities (Workers Comp & others) as well as census reporting.
- Update ADP tables when directed and ensure compliance with outside entities
- Update ADP-GLI as updates occur in ADP.
- Collaborate with the HR team.
- Collaborate and assist the accounting team with payroll items when needed.

- Some knowledge of generally accepted accounting practice and principles.

- Abilitytoestablishandmaintaineffectiveworkingrelationshipswithothers and work well with a team.
- Ability to complete assigned tasks in a timely and effective manner.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- 3-5 years of ADP experience working with multiple FEINs desirable
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) desirable
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (especially excel & v lookup)

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
