Position Summary
Morehouse College as a core partner in the newly established National Science Foundation ( NSF ) I-Corps Southeast Hub is seeking a highly organized and mission-driven Program Manager to coordinate and execute Morehouses I-Corps activities. The Program Manager will be instrumental in supporting innovation research commercialization and entrepreneurship education for students faculty and community members at Morehouse and throughout the region. This role will also help participants identify and pursue follow-on funding opportunities including SBIR / STTR programs to advance their technologies toward commercialization. I-Corps will integrate into the Center for Black Entrepreneurship developed in partnership with Spelman College and the Black Economic Alliance Foundation and work in alignment with the NSF AUC GRANTED initiative to expand research and commercialization across the AUC . Physical Demands
No or very limited physical effort required. No or very limited exposure to physical risk. Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment. Must be flexible to meet occasionally during evenings and work may be required frequently during weekends. Local and other travel may be required occasionally.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree required; Masters degree preferred in business STEM education or related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in program management project coordination or higher education administration.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with NSF I-Corps Lean Startup methodology or innovation-driven entrepreneurship programs. Knowledge of SBIR / STTR funding and other early-stage commercialization pathways. Experience working with HBCUs. Event planning facilitation or stakeholder engagement experience.
