The Multimedia Designer performs a variety of different design roles for the team. The Multimedia Designer will create concepts and ideas prepare presentation decks and execute initial designs. The Multimedia Designer has the ability to help create animations and dynamic content to our ideas forward and keeping them cutting edge. The Multimedia Designer also assists the creative team with social media deliverables and digital elements for larger media buys for campaigns. They have experience or a desire to participate in and drive the creative process for photo and video shoots. The Multimedia Designers flexible skillset also allows to be a backup in our various creative areas as workloads periodically change and as projects dictate.
This is a hybrid position (3 days in-office weekly) based at our Toronto office located at 1303 Yonge St.
Key Responsibilities:
Designs concepts and ideas from art directors for Tier 1 (Strategically Important) projects for all our brands
Lead the creation of strategic designs for Tier 2/3 (Tactically Important) projects for all brands within the organization
Ideates and creates unique and ownable social media and online banner ad units for all of our brands
Participates and contributes to creative brainstorming sessions with the creative team
Organizes working files and ensures folders and layers are clean and named for easy use in the future
What You Will Need:
Post-secondary education with focus on Design Video Production New Media or Web Design
Registered Graphic Designer designation is an asset
2-4 years of hands on experience in Adobe Creative suite
Experience in a creative agency or in-house team
Comfortable working with video and animated elements
Comfortable coding HTML5
Ability to listen and interpret feedback and come up with creative solutions
Ability to manage and work on multiple projects at the same time and with tight deadlines
