Business Innovation Technology and Security (BITS) is responsible for managing the Departments information technology (IT) providers including relations with the Governors Office of Information Technology (OIT). The division serves as the main point of contact for departmental issues involving technology resources and needs and coordinates activities with the program staff for IT support operations maintenance modernization and implementation of new IT systems.
HYBRID Schedule: Minimum of 2 days on-site 3 days remote

Summary of Position:
This position provides critical conceptual information-management and technical and analytical support through the maintenance design and enhancement of various patient and management data systems. Additionally the position develops maintains and enhances critical budget-management systems clinical information management systems ancillary analytical and audit systems the OCFMH Data Warehouse and BEHR development. The position develops legal status data quality and ad-hoc management/analysis tools for OCFMH and Mental Health Hospitals (MHH) Senior Leadership as needed. This position completes system upgrades and provides system maintenance. The position performs system analysis and design of reports inquiries and input screens as provided by the tools associated with BEHR and other software reporting applications; explores the use of new BEHR functionality for use by Institute staff; and develops and executes routine and ad hoc reporting mechanisms necessary to meet MHH business needs and requirements. The position provides technical support of BEHR-related peripherals such as barcode scanners which are used for medication administration Zebra label printers wristband printers and document scanners. The position participates in subject matter expert and user groups in order to gather and develop system specifications for modifications to BEHR.
Duties of this Position
BEHR and OCFMH System EnhancementsThe position researches and develops BEHR system modifications and enhancements including the OCFMH Data Warehouse; designs and performs BEHR clinical and operations and data extractions; identifies analyzes and solves automated systems issues; assists with BEHR testing and upgrade installations. The position also performs end-user training for new functionality as needed. The position provides technical support of BEHR-related equipment and/or peripherals including barcode scanners which are used for medication administration Zebra label printers wristband printers and document scanners.
Additionally the position represents the Health Information Team (HIT) as a member of various MHH work groups and committees as they develop and define data collection requirements policies and procedures; works with customers and management to determine operational and clinical needs and independently designs them for BEHR and its supporting ancillary systems; and provides support maintenance and enhancement within BEHR.

Minimum Qualifications:
Experience Only:
Six (6) years of relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned to this position
OR
Education and Experience:
A combination of related education and/or relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned equal to six (6) years
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with hospital data
Experience working with SQL
Experience pulling data from multiple databases
A pre-employment background check will be conducted as part of the selection process (to include reference checks).
Travel May require in-state travel to downtown Denver CMHHIFL and CMHHIP.
