Responsibilities:
- Define attribute targets and technical requirements.
- Deliver solutions that meet performance objectives while aligning with project timelines.
- Ensure validation and sign-off of attribute targets.
- Define and monitor budget allocation for development activities.
- Manage internal and external data sharing processes.
- Oversee relevant testing campaigns in collaboration with proving grounds testing teams and external facilities.
- Lead communication and integration efforts with Design R&D and external suppliers through meetings and workshops.
Regular tasks:
- Define performance targets draft requirements track progress and steer attribute development through to final validation covering external aerodynamics (including active systems) interior aerodynamics (cabin comfort human factors) and aerothermal domains (underhood and brake thermal management).
- Coordinate and oversee teams of engineers working across different platforms and derivatives.
- Develop comprehensive plans for both virtual simulations and experimental testing across multiple vehicle programs.
- Identify and implement solutions and strategies to ensure targets are achieved.
- Prepare technical documentation conduct meetings and distribute findings to cross-functional teams departments and senior management.
- Manage workload distribution integration and activities within the relevant attribute areas.
Occasional tasks:
- Contribute to long-term strategy and integration of virtual and physical development (planning tool selection team organization).
- Define standards processes and methodologies for the attribute area.
- Support the adoption and implementation of new tools and innovative methodologies.
Required Skills & Competencies:
- Proven expertise in numerical and experimental development within vehicle aerodynamics and aerothermal domains.
- Strong foundation in fluid dynamics thermodynamics and heat transfer.
- Proficiency in CAD tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage conflicts constructively.
- High level of organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving mindset.
