The Opportunity

Due to recent project awards we are seeking a Lead (Subsea) Project Engineer to join our established engineering team for upcoming subsea and ROV projects. This role is based in West Perth and requires occasional project site visits and offshore work.

You will be responsible for:

  • Working with the Project Manager Project Engineers and Operational Team to execute project work scopes
  • Interface and communicate with clients.
  • Take responsibility for large and/or multiple work packages and ensure HSE / quality and commercial delivery.
  • Evaluating and enhancing emerging and existing engineering technologies collaborating with the Engineering team to integrate them into projects.
  • Supervising and guiding senior and project engineers through technical development design review constructability HAZID workshops and offshore execution.
  • Review all engineering documentation prior to Project Manager / Client approval.
  • Collaborate with the project manager to improve commercial oversight and outcomes

About You

Were looking for a leader who is approachable collaborative and takes ownership. You build strong relationships communicate clearly and bring a positive solution-focused mindset.

Your success in securing this role will require:

  • Extensive experience in subsea/offshore engineering and project delivery.
  • A Bachelor of Engineering in mechanical mechatronic structural or ocean engineering or naval architecture.
  • Working knowledge of MS Word MS Excel and MS Project. Experience with specialist software such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks is also desirable.
  • A full drivers license.
  • The ability to obtain an offshore survival course and pass the associated medical exam.
  • You must be an Australian citizen permanent resident or hold a full valid work visa.
