Job Description
Position Title: Call-In Substitute Teacher
Reports To: School Administration
Pay Rate: $130 per day
Position Summary:
Call-In Substitute Teachers provide classroom instruction and supervision in the absence of the regular teacher. Substitutes are responsible for maintaining a safe respectful and engaging learning environment while following the lesson plans and school procedures provided. This position is on an as-needed basis with no guaranteed hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Report to assigned school location on time and check in with the main office.
- Review and implement lesson plans left by the classroom teacher.
- Provide instruction and maintain classroom routines to ensure continuity of learning.
- Manage classroom behavior and enforce school policies fairly and consistently.
- Supervise students in the classroom hallways cafeteria and other settings as assigned.
- Communicate any issues concerns or feedback to school administration.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support the daily operations of the school.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelors degree or teacher certification preferred).
- Prior experience working with children or in an educational setting preferred.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Flexibility and dependability to accept assignments on short notice.
- Commitment to fostering a positive and supportive learning environment.
Schedule:
- As needed based on school needs.
- Hours may vary depending on the assignment.
Compensation:
Daily rate of $130 (full-day assignment).
