We are seeking a detail-oriented and analyticalAccounting Analyst to join our Reconciliations team. This role is responsible for performing accurate and timely reconciliations of bank and general ledger accounts resolving discrepancies and supporting financial close processes. The Analyst will work cross-functionally utilize reconciliation systems includingCadency MatchCadency Certification andSAP and contribute to strategic process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
Reconcile general ledger accounts and bank transactions to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Monitor daily bank activity and match transactions using reconciliation systems.
Collaborate with internal departments to resolve reconciling items and obtain documentation.
Use Cadency software to streamline reconciliation processes and improve efficiency.
Investigate and resolve discrepancies using critical thinking and financial research.
Prepare journal entries and reports to maintain ledger integrity.
Support month-end quarter-end and year-end close processes.
Analyze financial trends and recommend process improvements.
Assist with internal and external audit documentation.
Maintain compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
Participate in team projects and serve as backup for team members.
Maintain organized and accurate documentation of reconciliations and journal entries.
Skills Abilities and Knowledge Required:
Strong analytical organizational and communication skills.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer applications.
Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
Strong teamwork and interpersonal communication skills.
Self-motivated with a commitment to continuous professional growth.
Understanding of ledger balancing and financial research processes.
Familiarity with reconciliation systems (Cadency Cadency Match SAP) preferred.
Working knowledge of accounting principles and reconciliation tools.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or directly related discipline.
3 years of experience in reconciliation accounting.
Cadency certification preferred.
$51500 - $65000 a year
Protectives targeted salary range for this position is $51500 to $65000. Actual salaries may vary depending on factors including but not limited to job location skills and experience. The range listed is just one component of Protectives total compensation package for employees.
