- Proficient in using paint guns airbrushes and blending techniques.
- Skilled in color matching and paint corrections.
- Perform work specified on maintenance and repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards
- Familiarity with water-based and solvent-based paint systems.
- Ability to perform minor body repairs (i.e. scratches chips bumper scuffs)
- Provide labor and time estimates for additional automotive repairs
- Notify Service Advisor immediately if repairs cannot be completed within the time promised
- Document vehicle maintenance by completing forms reports logs & records
- Maintain the Express Service Area in an organized manner
- Understand and follow federal state and local regulations (such as disposal of hazardous waste)
- Coordinate with & report directly to the Shop Foreman Service Manager or Service Director
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in automotive paint touch-up and detailing.
- Effective analytical and communication skills and eagerness to improve
- Ability to learn new technology repair and service procedures and specifications
- High School Diploma or GED (required)
- Valid drivers license and clean driving record
