Job Description

Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer
Client: Heavy Machine Manufacturing Company
Duration: 1 Year (with possible extension)
Location: Fuquay-Varina NC 27526
Shift: 1st Shift (6:00 AM 4:30 PM Monday Thursday) with occasional overtime on Friday

Job Summary

The Manufacturing Engineer II will plan coordinate and perform engineering work to support manufacturing processes and projects. This role operates within a team environment and contributes to improvements in quality safety efficiency and cost reduction. Assignments may include leading portions of major projects troubleshooting operations and providing technical support to production teams.

Major Duties

  • Establish routings layouts methods quality plans tools and documentation for current and new operations.
  • Support and troubleshoot assembly line operations by investigating gathering and analyzing data.
  • Implement cost reduction quality safety and ergonomic improvement initiatives.
  • Apply electronic tools for e-builds modeling and simulations.
  • Develop and implement lean manufacturing plans through the Deere Production System.
  • Design operations layouts to improve material flow and presentation.
  • Lead studies related to capacity energy productivity and efficiency.
  • Develop and implement new manufacturing processes and technologies.
  • Analyze and update performance pay plans; support development of baseline data for new plans.

Position Requirements

  • 3 5 years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer (ME) or Quality Engineer (QE) in an assembly-based manufacturing environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset.
  • Experience supporting daily production operations investigating and resolving quality issues and maintaining assembly documentation.
  • Knowledge of SAP; familiarity with AutoCAD and Creo preferred.
  • Basic computer skills (Windows environment).
  • Ability to investigate and implement improvement ideas enhance mistake-proofing solutions and eliminate safety/ergonomic risks.
