Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior WCS Engineer to lead and support development efforts on WCSbased ecommerce platforms The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in enterprise Java development and a strong understanding of WCS subsystems along with experience in modern architectural patterns including microservices and cloudnative deployments
Key Responsibilities
- Design develop and maintain scalable ecommerce solutions using IBM WebSphere Commerce WCS
- Lead implementation and customization of WCS subsystems Catalog Order Member Promotions and Search
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to define technical solutions aligned with business goals
- Develop and integrate RESTful APIs for seamless communication between services
- Contribute to the migration and modernization of legacy WCS components into microservices architecture
- Support deployment and monitoring of applications in cloudnative environments eg AWS Azure GCP
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers
Required Skills Experience
- Minimum 8 years of handson experience in IBM WCS development
- Strong proficiency in JavaJ2EE JSP Servlets and Spring Framework
- Indepth knowledge of WCS subsystems Catalog Order Member Promotions Search
- Experience with RESTful API design and integration
- Familiarity with microservices architecture and containerization Docker Kubernetes
- Exposure to cloudnative deployments and CICD pipelines
- Excellent problemsolving and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with headless commerce or MACH architecture
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools Jenkins Git Terraform
- IBM WCS certification is a plus
