Infrastructure & Cloud Services are at the forefront of everything from Cloud to Networking Data Centres to virtual servers/servers (Windows and Linux) as well as desktops Licensing and mobile phones! Every piece of infrastructure at Head Office in the stores the warehouses for the website or the contact centre are supported by this area. Central services such as Microsoft Azure GSuite and GCP file services Citrix Active Directory (and much more) are all provided and supported here.

The Modern Workplace team (I&C Services Operations Support) is a small dedicated group of engineers at the forefront of shaping the end-user computing experience at Next. You will be instrumental in supporting new ways of working by managing a diverse range of modern workplace technologies. Your responsibilities will span across Microsoft 365 including Intune Manager for device management and Entra ID for identity and access management as well as Jamf for our iOS and macOS fleet. You will handle 2nd and 3rd line escalations from our support teams working in a hybrid environment of on-premise Active Directory and cloud platforms. This role is a blend of business-as-usual support and exciting project work such as the migration to Windows 11 and the transition of our telephone system to a cloud-based solution. As our platforms evolve you will be expected to be proactive continuously developing your skills and contributing to the improvement of our solutions to provide the best possible user experience.

The Infrastructure & Cloud Services Operations Support team operates a weekly out of hours callout rota supporting the business. Overtime and flexibility of shift changes are expected as many systems can only be installed or changed outside of normal business hours. Extended cover will be required to cover peak periods.

About You:

Were looking for the following:

  • Friendly & approachable - not just to end-users but internal teams within Technology.
  • Effective communication across all levels technical and non-technical.
  • Problem solving fault finding and resolution focused.
  • Passionate about developing yourself and the solutions you work on creating the best user-experience possible.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Intune (Configuration Profiles Compliance Policies Update Rings Device Diagnostics and AutoPilot).
  • Familiar with IOS/MacOS Jamf MDM solution and Chrome OS.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft/ Office 365.
  • Working knowledge of Google Workspace administration.
  • Experience troubleshooting issues with Windows 10 & 11.
  • Fundamental understanding of Active Directory.
  • Understanding of key Azure Services including Azure AD MFA Conditional Access PIM.
  • Understanding of Role-Based Access Control and Principle of Least Privilege.
  • Basic understanding of underlying Infrastructure (Firewalls Switches Wi-Fi Windows Server PKI Proxies) and the role they play within Enterprise environments.

It would be a bonus if you have:

  • Application packaging experience.
  • Any level of Powershell scripting.
  • Experience of Windows 365.
  • Microsoft certifications (Primarily in Microsoft 365 or Modern Desktop)

In addition were looking for you to be:

  • Able to speak read and write English at a level that enables you to complete your role for example to understand instructions and communicate effectively with stakeholders and/or other team members
  • Experienced in effectively working in a collaborative manner in a large scale fast paced environment within a multifunctional technical team
  • Have a clean driving licence as this role comes with call-out requirements
