Job Description

Justice Resource Institute (JRI) supports the Department of Youth Services (DYS) by placing qualified Clinical Directors and Clinicians in their Northeast Central and Southeast programs. This Masters Level Clinician/Therapist position is based in a DYS Revocation Program in Taunton MA. This program provides a stable and supportive environment for males (ages 12-21) in the juvenile justice system.

Salary: $68224 - $71224 per year

Schedule Options:

  • 5-Day Work Week: Monday - Friday (40 hours per week; Two late nights per week to 7:00 PM)
  • 4-Day Work Week: Monday - Thursday 9:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM

Both schedule options include a rotating weekend on-call with a separate compensation structure.

What Youll Do:

This position is set within a secure program setting. The primary role of the Clinician is to work with the management team to provide a stable and supportive environment for the youths on the residential this role you will identify a unit behavioral treatment plan for each youth assigned and will be expected to maintain professionalism and work alongside other professionals within DYS and as needed with other agencies.

  • Training is provided in suicide risk assessment crisis stabilization and management and DBT and CBT. Clinicians gain valuable expertise working within a juvenile justice environment!
  • Clinical licensure supervision is provided and supported.
  • This full time position may require the ability to work one evening per week and weekends.

Requirements:

  • Must be 21 years or older.
  • Masters degree in a clinical discipline such as Social Work Mental Health Counseling or Psychology; PhD in APA approved psychology programs also meet qualifications.

  • Masters level candidates must currently have or be eligible for a LMHC LCSW or LICSW in Massachusetts. Licensed candidates are preferred. Upon attainment of independent licensure Clinicians receive a $3000 raise.

  • Candidates must have experience working with adolescents and their families knowledge in crisis stabilization and management and base knowledge of CBT and DBT.

  • Ability to work some nights and weekends as required.

  • Maintains a valid drivers license acceptable driving record as driving record check will be performed.
  • State/Federal background will be performed.
