You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe Physical Infrastructure team part of Information Technology Services at the University of Iowa is seeking a Communications Infrastructure Manager to provide leadership and technical expertise for the team overseeing the design implementation and maintenance of the Universitys communication and IT infrastructure. Responsibilities include updating and enforcing CSI Division 27 standards leading technical design meetings developing detailed engineering plans for underground pathways and fiber optic networks and managing critical integrated systems such as ArcGIS AutoCAD Bluebeam Smartsheet Milestone ITConnect and GPS Surveying tools.
This position will also have a heavy focus on supervisory responsibilities including supervising professional and student staff providing mentorship training task delegation and performance management while fostering a positive and safety-conscious environment. This position will manage multiple projects simultaneously establish and monitor budgets and conduct post-project analysis. This person will also be expected to evaluate emerging technologies such as new camera systems and GIS applications to ensure the Universitys communications infrastructure strategy aligns with enterprise business goals and evolving campus needs. This position will also be responsible for coordinating contractor work enforcing safety standards and collaborating closely with Facilities Management and external MEP professionals to ensure robust sustainable work solutions.
This position is not eligible for University sponsorship for employment authorization.
This is an onsite position.
