Position:Kindergarten Teacher
Start date:7 October 2025
Employment Status:Part-Time (20.25hpw 5 day fortnight release time)
Hourly rate: $43.67 - $62.90(pending experience)

Applications are invited from suitably qualified applications for the position of Kindergarten Teacher at St Francis Xavier Catholic Kindergarten Mackay. This is a part-time position for 20.25hpw (5 day fortnight Thursday Friday and alternate Wednesday) commencing from 7 October 2025 until 18 January 2026. There may also be an opportunity for part-time hours for the 2026 school year.

Mandatory Requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualifications
- The ability to obtain approved Queensland College of Teachers Registration and/or relevantACECQA approved Early Childhood Teacher Qualification
- Hold one of the following Child Protection competencies or willing to obtain:
- CHCPRT025Identify and report children and young people at risk
- CHCPRT001Identify and respond to children and young people at risk
- CHCPRT026Support the rights and safety of children and young people
- CHCPRT002Support the rights and safety of children and young people
- CHCECE057Use collaborative practices to uphold child protection principles
