Job Description
Location: Toowoomba
Remuneration:As per Coal EA 2022
About the role:
Aurizon is seeking expressions of interest from safety focused individuals who would like undertake training to become a locomotive driver. To excel in this position you will relish to opportunity to learn new skills and put into practice what you are taught in the classroom to become a professional train operator.
- 24x7 rotating shift roster 365 days a year includingnights weekends and public holidays
- Apply theoretical knowledge from training to practical operation
- Work in accordance with Aurizons safety and operational standards and procedures
- Undertake Locomotive driver training and successfully complete modules within six months.
About you:
- All-encompassing focus on safety along with great interpersonal skills
- Superior team work skills
- Must be available to work 24/7 shift roster which includes nights weekends and public holidays.
- Current unrestricted Class C drivers licence
- Be available to commence in the next couple of months and not have any prior commitments for the first 6-9 months of the training program.

- Cat 1 railmedical/ fitness test
- Traffic history infringement check
- 5 years reference checking
