Job Summary
The Maintenance Engineer participates in managing and maintaining all broadcast and technology related equipment within the facility.
- Install maintain configure and update all broadcast and information technology equipment and cabling in the facility
- Understand and assist in compliance with rules and regulations applicable to FCC local state and federal laws.
- Help implement new technologies and technical infrastructure for the facility.
- Provide desktop support
- Evaluate select install service and maintain facility broadcast and information technology systems
- Basic in-house IT support
- Other duties as needed
Requirements and Skills
- 3 years previous broadcast engineering experience
- The ability to terminate broadcast and IT cables is required
- Experience with Broadcast automation systems routers audio consoles studio lighting satellite ground stations and RF preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Basic understanding of Networking and internet security
- Ability to read schematic diagrams
- Ability to work extended hours and be on call as needed. May include overnight and weekends
- Excellent communication skills
- Can Do attitude .
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- The desire to learn new skills consistent with good engineering/ IT practices.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 60 pounds as well work on ladders
