Job Summary
Electrical / PLC Technician (Maintenance Technician)
Location: Elkhart IN Shift: MonFri 7:00 a.m.3:30 p.m. (some overtime & call-outs)
Our client is seeking an experienced Electrical / PLC Technician to join our Elkhart team. This role is primarily focused on hands-on electrical troubleshooting and maintenance in an established facility with olderbut reliableequipment. While most of the plant is not automated today they are planning significant upgrades and this position will play a key role in moving them forward.
What youll do
- Diagnose and repair electrical issues on production equipment
- Install and support equipment projects and upgrades
- Troubleshoot and support PLCs (Allen Bradley CompactLogix MicroLogix) and basic automation systems
- Support robotics and automation programming as upgrades are introduced
What theyre looking for
- 5 years of electrical maintenance experience in manufacturing
- 3 years working with PLCs (Allen Bradley preferred)
- Ability to read and interpret schematics drawings and blueprints
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Mechanical troubleshooting skills are a plus
- Project management experience is a bonus (vendor coordination upgrades)
