Pay: Starting at $18.00/hr (based on experience and role)

Are you passionate about horror aesthetics creature design or transforming people into nightmares ScareGrounds PDX Portlands largest and most terrifying haunted attraction is now hiring Makeup Artists for the 2025 Halloween season!
Were seeking creative detail-oriented and reliable artists to help bring our monsters maniacs and mayhem to life. Whether youre skilled in traditional horror makeup airbrush work or prosthetics we want to see what you can do!
ScareGrounds PDX Portlands premier haunted attraction is now hiring Security Officers for the 2025 Halloween season. Were looking for vigilant professional and guest-friendly individuals to help ensure a safe enjoyable experience for everyone visiting our scare zones haunted houses and midway.
Responsibilities:
- Apply airbrush SFX and traditional makeup to actors across a variety of haunted attractions.
- Collaborate with the art and management team to execute character designs and maintain consistency.
- Perform quick efficient makeup applications in a fast-paced environment.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of workstations tools and products.
- Execute touch-ups and repairs throughout show nights as needed.
- Follow safety and sanitation guidelines at all times.
- Assist with prosthetic application wigs blood effects and more.
Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Prior experience in theatrical special effects or event makeup is strongly preferred.
- Must be comfortable working in loud fast-paced and sometimes chaotic environments.
- Able to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive motions.
- Must be punctual dependable and able to work evenings weekends and Halloween night (Septemberearly November).
- Must bring a basic makeup kit; all specialty products and prosthetics provided.
