Job Description
The candidate must meet the following requirements:
Database Engineer
- 5 years of experience with SQL development and database fundamentals.
- Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and SQL Server (required for this role).
- Basic understanding of database design principles normalization and data modeling concepts.
- Experience writing stored procedures functions and triggers.
- Familiarity with database performance concepts like indexing and query optimization.
- Experience building ETL processes and data pipelines using tools like Python SQL or ETL platforms (Glue Step Functions Lambda).
- Understanding of data integration patterns and best practices.
- Familiarity with data transformation and validation techniques.
- Experience with AWS services particularly RDS and EC2 for database hosting and Glue Step Functions and Lambda for ETL functions.
- Amazon Redshift experience preferred for data warehousing workloads.
- Understanding of cloud database deployment and management concepts.
- Basic knowledge of Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD principles.
- Basic knowledge of data management concepts and data cataloging tools and processes.
