Position: Teacher of Record - Math @Choices
Reports to: School Principal or Designee
Employment Status: After Hours for 30-40 students
FLSA Status: Exempt
Description: After Hours work for a certified 7-12 Math Teacher
NOTE: The below lists are not ranked in order of importance
Essential Functions:
- Be teacher of record for math students at Choices
- Post grades for students
- Utilize Courseware Software as curriculum
- Assign courses as needed through the software program
- Maintain respect at all times for confidential information
- Observe ethics of the teaching profession
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
- Respond to routine questions and requests in a timely appropriate manner
- Serve as a role model for students
- Establish and maintain cooperative professional relationships
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal or designee
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent from a four-year college or university
- Appropriate state of Ohio certifications/license - 7-12 Math
- Prior teaching experience is preferable
- Such alternative to the above qualifications as the Superintendent and/or Board of Education may find appropriate

- Knowledge of academic area and teaching methodology

- Training in varied instructional design
- Knowledge of child development and an understanding of age appropriate tasks
- Background/knowledge base in methodology and supervised practice

Additional Working Conditions:
- Occasional requirement to travel daily and overnight
- Occasional interaction among unruly children

- Frequent requirement to sit stand walk talk hear see read speak reach stretch with hands and arms crouch kneel climb and stoop
- Frequent operation of a vehicle in inclement weather conditions i.e. being prepared to come to work on all scheduled work days except calamity days
- Frequent weekend/evening/summer work
- Requirement to lift and/or carry up to a maximum of 75 pounds and push/pull up to a maximum of 300 pounds various supplies and/or equipment
