Were looking for a Mechanic Supervisor A to join our Patrol Division to provide supervision guidance and logistical support in a mechanic repair shop. The Mechanic Supervisor A plays a key role in repairing and ensuring our fleet of patrol vehicles is properly maintained.
Minimum Qualifications
Four years of experience or training as a mechanic.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
As a Mechanic Supervisor A you will be instrumental in repairing and performing preventative maintenance of our fleet of patrol this role you will:
- Assignsworktomechanicsandothershoppersonnel.
- Provides guidance and assists lower-level mechanics.
- Assures that adequate supplies and equipment are available for subordinates.
- Inspects repair work in progress and upon completion.
- Evaluates the workperformanceofsubordinates. Updatescostandtimerecordsforrepairactivities.
- Supervises preparation of repair orders equipment records requisitions etc.
- May operate a wrecker to recover and transport inoperative vehicles.
Position-Specific Details:
Appointment Type: This is a promotional opportunity for permanent employees of the DPS-Office of State Police.
Career Progression: This position may be filled as a Mechanic 4.
Work Schedule: Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Monday - Friday.
Compensation:$24.10- $43.37 Hourly
$1928.00- $3469.62 Bi-Weekly
