Job Summary
Position: RN Adult ICU/Critical Care
Location: LANDER WY 82520
Duration: 13 Weeks
Start Time 7:00 AM End Time 7:00 PM
Position Description
Critical care registered nurses are adept at providing such care in settings where patients have suffered a heart attack stroke shock severe trauma respiratory distress or other severe medical issues. Specific critical care nurse duties and responsibilities can include: Assessing a patients condition and planning and implementing patient care plans Treating wounds and providing advanced life support Assisting physicians in performing procedures Observing and recording patient vital signs Ensuring that ventilators monitors and other types of medical equipment function properly/adjusting ventilator/IABP Administering intravenous fluids and medications Suctioning Collaborating with fellow members of the critical care team Responding to life-saving situations using nursing standards and protocols for treatment Acting as patient advocate Providing education and support to patient families Critical care nurses may also care for pre- and post-operative addition some serve as case managers and policy makers while others perform administrative duties.
Facility Requirements:
- Must have ACLS BLS & PALS/ENPC & TNCC (preferred but not required) certifications must be attached to submission packet (Must be through the American Heart Association)
- Candidates may be responsible for taking care of pediatric/adolescent patients on occasion (SageWest does not have dedicated peds unit)
- Must have WY RN or multi-state RN license must be attached to resume
- Must have 2 years recent ICU RN experience in a hospital setting
- Candidates might need to float between the Lander & Riverton campus depending on facility census.
