Position: Anaplan Solution Architect
Location: Richardson TX or Santa Barbara CA
Duration: Long term contract
Type: W2
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Anaplan Solution Architect to lead the design development and implementation of enterprise-scale Anaplan solutions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for translating business requirements into scalable Anaplan models driving best practices and ensuring successful solution delivery in an Agile environment. This role requires hands-on technical expertise combined with strong business acumen stakeholder management and solution leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end architecture design and development of Anaplan models in alignment with best practices (PLAN methodology).
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements design solutions and deliver scalable Anaplan models.
- Drive Agile sprint planning break down user stories and ensure timely delivery of Anaplan functionality.
- Design and manage integrations between Anaplan and source systems using Anaplan Connect REST API and third-party connectors.
- Oversee workspace and model management ensuring performance optimization and scalability.
- Define and implement user roles security models and workflows in Anaplan.
- Support Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) processes Financial Close Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) Quota & Compensation Planning and other business planning functions.
- Conduct UAT coordination publish results and ensure sign-offs from business stakeholders.
- Create and maintain technical and functional documentation (SOPs solution design docs) for implemented solutions.
- Provide training mentoring and guidance to Anaplan model builders business analysts and end users.
- Troubleshoot production issues and deliver ongoing support for Anaplan models and UXILI.
Required Skills & Experience
- Certified Anaplan Solution Architect (mandatory).
- 5 years of Anaplan hands-on experience in solution design development and deployment.
- Strong expertise in Anaplan model building with a deep understanding of PLAN standards and performance optimization.
- Proficiency in Anaplan UX / UI including developing dashboards and wireframes for end users (desktop & mobile).
- Solid knowledge of Anaplan Connect REST API and integration methods.
- Strong understanding of Financial Planning Budgeting Forecasting and Financial Close processes.
- Business domain knowledge in FP&A S&OP Quota & Compensation Planning.
- Expertise in Line Item Subsets (LISS) and advanced Anaplan modeling features.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum methodology sprint planning and user story delivery.
- Strong debugging troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage business stakeholders and technical teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Business Computer Science or related field.
- Prior consulting experience in enterprise-scale Anaplan implementations.
- Exposure to workflow design and multi-workspace management.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor junior Anaplan model builders.
