Job Overview/Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Optometrist to provide comprehensive eye care services. This role goes beyond prescribing contacts and glasses focusing on diagnosing and managing ocular diseases treating eye conditions and ensuring patients receive the highest level of care.
Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough eye examinations and prescribe corrective lenses when needed.
Diagnose and manage anterior and posterior segment pathologies.
Treat conditions such as corneal ulcers uveitis and red eye.
Diagnose and monitor diabetic retinopathy and glaucoma.
Perform removal of ocular foreign bodies.
Identify and manage macular disease retinal holes and retinal detachments.
Provide patient education on eye health disease prevention and treatment options.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care.
Primary Skills:
Strong clinical expertise in ocular disease diagnosis and management.
Proficiency in treating anterior and posterior eye conditions.
Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and patient education abilities.
Secondary Skills (Good to Have):
Experience with advanced imaging and diagnostic technologies.
Ability to work in a collaborative healthcare environment.
Interest in continuous learning and professional development.
Qualifications:
Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited program.
State licensure (active or eligible).
Clinical experience managing ocular diseases preferred.
Strong interpersonal and patient care skills.
