Civil Engineering II

AECOM Technical Services Inc. is seeking a Civil Engineering II in New York NY.

Job details:

• Performing analytical tasks including traffic data collection and data manipulation performing traffic and capacity analysis on roadway networks using transportation planning/engineering software including HCS Synchro and traffic micro simulation as well as preparing written documentation of NEPA/SEQR/CEQR transportation results in support of client projects.
• Preparing written reports and presentations of project findings that support the advancement of projects into further design stages or to document operational enhancements.
• Gathering and correlating basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.
• Working on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests.
• Proposing approaches to solve new problems encountered.
• Identifying discrepancies in results.
• Performing work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with moderate supervision.
• Performing analytical tasks including traffic data collection and data manipulation.
• May telecommute.

Qualifications :

Candidates must have a Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering Urban Planning Traffic Engineering or related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.

Position requires:

1. HCS Synchro and Traffic Simulation Software including: Vissim Aimsun or TransModeler
2. Preparing written documentation of NEPA/SEQR/CEQR transportation results in support of client projects.
3. Preparing written reports and presentations of project findings.
4. Preparing and overseeing traffic data collection programs
5. ArcGIS (both Desktop & Pro)
6. Python scripting capabilities
7. Airport landside transportation planning
