Demolition & Labor
- Perform exterior and interior demolition of modular units.
- Cut move and stack heavy steel and other materials for removal or reuse.
- Operate hand and power tools (hammers crowbars pry bars skill saws Sawzall drills impact drivers sledgehammers up to 25 lbs).
- Lift carry and maneuver 50 lbs regularly.
- Erect and dismantle scaffolding as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe job site.
Drywall & Finish Work
- Measure cut and install drywall accurately.
- Tape mud sand and finish joints for smooth defect-free surfaces.
- Apply and finish corner bead trim bead reveal bead.
- Use tools such as bazookas flat boxes angle boxes power sanders.
- Patch and blend drywall repairs seamlessly.
Carpentry & Framing
- Cut fit and install wood materials according to specifications.
- Ensure corners are crisp joints tight and moldings level.
- Install fixtures for windows doors staircases crown molding ceiling panels.
- Build frames foundations ceilings and forms (wooden forms for concrete as needed).
- Prep materials using hand/power tools nail guns staplers etc
- Read and interpret blueprints shop drawings sketches.
- Use levels framing squares and other tools to ensure accuracy.
- Have the ability to install cabinets and coutnertops
Plumbing
- Be able to install bathroom and kitchen faucets.
- Install drains and connect them to the sinks
Qualifications :
Daily Expectations
- May work outdoors in 90100F temperatures exposed to sun.
- Base daily tasks to perform following the site supervisor.
- Maintain equipment and ensure a clean safe work area.
- Meet productivity targets while upholding quality and safety standards.
- Adhere to local building and safety codes.
Preferred Traits
- 3-5 years of experience in construction demolition drywall or carpentry.
- Able to lift 50 lbs. repeatedly and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Working knowledge of hand and power tools (saws nail guns staplers drills sanders).
- Ability to read simple building plans blueprints and take accurate measurements.
- Strong hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and communication (oral and written).
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred to support team communication.
- Works well independently and as part of a crew.
- Prior experience in landscaping agriculture or intensive general labor is a plus.
- Candidates should disclose any health conditions that could be impacted by heat or sun exposure.
Additional Information :
The pay for this position is $27 per hour.

This is a temporary position dependent upon completion of the project at 1598 University Avenue in Berkeley California. The duration of the position is approximately 4 weeks; however this may adjusted according to the projects progression to completion.
