As an AlphaBEST Timekeeping & Labor Specialist youll be trained mentored and have the chance to do the following:
- Schedule Creation and Maintenance: Developing and updating work schedules for employees considering factors like staffing needs employee availability and operational requirements. Ensuring new hires are assigned the appropriate schedules through the EDA Process. Work with Operations to update any site schedule changes.
- Labor time and compliance reporting: Regularly generates reports for Directors Managers and Leadership. Analyze summarize and present data and provide trends and insights. Key vs Clock reporting & working with managers to explain variances from the company goals of keyed time. Troubleshoot and report issues with clocking assisting in resolving problems.
- System Maintenance: Assisting with system set-up for new business and timekeeping policies (ex. iCAMP acquisition AB Studios organic growth and start-up new timekeeping policies)
- Timekeeping and Accuracy: Ensuring employees accurately record their hours worked including regular time overtime and leave. Follow up with managers and employees during the payroll cycle to ensure time is approved.
- Timecard Review and Approval: Verifying the accuracy of timecards ensuring they align with scheduled work and employee reporting.
- Leave Request Management: Processing and approving leave requests ensuring compliance with company policies and working with managers on scheduling to cover absences (use of subs etc.)
- Payroll Processing Support: Providing accurate time data to payroll for timely and accurate payment of employee wages. Assist payroll with auditing payroll new hire and term processing and employee profile maintenance.
- Error Correction: Identifying and correcting any errors in timekeeping or schedule discrepancies working with managers regarding error trends to get them corrected at the program level.
- Compliance: Ensuring compliance with relevant labor laws and company policies regarding timekeeping and scheduling.
Heres what youll need:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework or certifications in HR payroll or business administration preferred.
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in timekeeping scheduling or payroll support ideally in a multi-site or education-based environment.
- Proficiency with Google Suite (Docs Sheets Drive etc.) and familiarity with timekeeping systems such as ADP Workforce Manager.
- Strong attention to detail organizational skills and the ability to communicate clearly and work collaboratively across departments.
- Understanding of basic labor laws timekeeping compliance and scheduling best practices is a plus.
